What are the three angels’ messages?

The three angels’ messages are contained within Revelation chapter 14. The proclamation of the first angel’s message began in the middle of the 19th century by Adventists, people who were preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Many who remained faithful to God after the great disappointment of 1844 went on to become pioneers for the the Seventh Day Adventist Church which came into existence in 1863. The three angels’ messages point to God as our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier, the true Seventh Day Sabbath, warn of false teachings within Christendom and accepting the mark of the beast, also known as Sunday worship by law. For a clear understanding of the three angels’ messages, please begin watching video messages on our videos page beginning with the category “First Angel’s Message.”

How can Seventh Day Adventists be theologically correct if they were wrong about Jesus’ second coming in 1844?

The scriptural text William Miller used pointing to the second coming of Jesus Christ in 1844 comes out of Daniel chapter 8:14, “And he said unto me, ‘Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.’” Miller and fellow believers, using the day for a year principle for bible prophecy coming from Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, traced the 2300 day prophecy (2300 literal years) from the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem by king Artaxerxes in 457 B.C. Although the Millerites got the prophetic date correct for October 22, 1844, they incorrectly interpretated what the cleansing of the sanctuary meant. The vast majority of Adventists in 1844 believed the cleansing of the sanctuary was the cleansing of the earth by fire during Jesus Christ’s second coming. Only a handful of Advent believers remained faithful after the great disappointment of 1844 and came to find out about the antitypical day of atonement in the heavenly sanctuary and Jesus Christ’s role as our Great High Priest within the book of Hebrews. Aren’t Seventh Day Adventists legalists because they focus only on the Ten Commandments without believing Christians are saved by grace alone through Jesus Christ?

The enemy of souls has been successful in convincing much of Christendom that the law was done away with at the cross and obedience to God’s Ten Commandments is a legalistic salvation by works mentality. However, we must consider that Jesus Christ Himself obeyed all His Father’s commandments. Would any sincere Christian call Jesus Christ a legalist? God clearly outlines in His Word the beautiful relationship between law and grace. When studying the Old Testament carefully we come to find out that salvation by grace alone is also contained within the first 5 books of the Bible. Here are several OT examples: “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart” Deuteronomy 6:5-6. “Therefore shall ye lay up these words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes” Deuteronomy 11:18. “And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart…” Deuteronomy 30:6. “Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart.” Jeremiah 4:4. “…I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts…” Jeremiah 31:33. Ancient Israel failed because they ignored the heart transformation necessary through God’s grace to be obedient to all of His commandments. At Christ’s first advent the Jewish leaders believed they were righteous and meritorious before God because of their strict obedience to the law through their own efforts and good works. But Jesus rebuked their false pretense of piety. In the book of Matthew we read: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees…even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity” Matthew 23:27-28. If Christians claim obedience to God’s law through their own efforts alone without His grace, this is known as legalism. If Christians claim they are saved by the grace of God alone without obedience to His law, this is known as cheap grace. The balance between law and grace is clear within God’s Word, but it has been perverted for so long that many Christians are unwilling to humble themselves before God to get a clear understanding.

God tells us plainly in the New Testament that we are saved by His grace alone and no person through the works of the law can be justified. God also tells us in the book of Romans we are no longer under law, but are instead under grace. How is it then that obedience to God’s law has any importance after the Cross?

No longer being under law means through the grace of Christ we are set free from its condemnation. If a person was caught speeding and the officer let him or her off the hook by giving a warning instead of a ticket, would it make sense to transgress the law again by speeding, believing that the laws for speeding no longer apply after receiving grace from the police officer? Being free from condemnation is part and parcel of our relationship to Christ, but God’s standard of righteousness does not disappear just because Christ forgives us of our sins. Picture the law as a mirror. A married couple looking into the mirror are able to see some unpleasant defects on their faces. But the mirror cannot fix their facial defects. The mirror can only reveal what those defects are. The married couple realize they need medical help to solve their facial defect issue so they go see a dermatologist. God’s law is a mirror revealing how sinful we are and exposes our sins and character defects. Jesus Christ is the doctor we need to come to in order to overcome our sinful nature and mature in Christian character through His grace. Adam and Eve lost their eternal inheritance because of disobedience to God. It is illogical to assume that Christians can go to heaven and be with Jesus forever living in disobedience. Simply claiming justification by faith alone through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and deeming sanctification unnecessary in the plan of salvation is ignoring our need to look into the mirror, also known as God’s law, to see if we have defects that need removal. Going to the doctor (Jesus Christ) without a diagnosis of how messed up we are because we haven’t looked into God’s law, i.e., the mirror, has many Christians believing people can never stop sinning no matter how much grace God gives them. Satan uses this strategy to keep sanctified obedience to God’s law through the imparted grace of Jesus Christ out of the picture. Satan attacked the law of God in heaven before he was cast out and for the past 6,000 years here on earth he has been performing the same work of placing contempt upon sanctified obedience and making God out to be a selfish and restrictive tyrant. Satan subtly tells Christians obedience to the law is legalism or impossible with God’s grace, bringing many well to do Christians under his banner of lawlessness. God’s law is a reflection of God’s character. Satan’s continual attack upon God’s law is ultimately a continual attack upon God’s character. If Christians don’t look closely at the beautiful relationship between law and grace through the lens of the Holy Spirit, it is easier to fall pray to the enemy's crafty devices.

If sanctified obedience through God’s grace is in fact biblical, what about scriptural references telling us that no one is justified by the works of the law, particularly in the book of Romans?

God does not contradict Himself and yet in the book of Romans there seems to be contradiction.

Text # 1 - “Doers of the Law”

“For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified” Romans 2:13.

Text # 2 - “Deeds of the Law”

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight…” Romans 3:20.

Although these two texts seem contradictory we need to look at a “doer” of the law and the “deeds” of the law.

The deeds of the law equate to the works of the law, also known as self-righteous legalism. The apostle Paul was a strict Pharisee before his conversion and knew all about Pharisaical works based righteousness. Performing good works, rejecting convictions coming from the Holy Spirit, and claiming to obey God without His grace is legalism.

The doers of the law are individuals who accept convictions coming from the Holy Spirit, repent of their sins, surrender their will continuously to God, and rely solely upon Him to overcome sin on a daily basis.

Jesus tells us many professed followers will be denied entrance into His kingdom because of disobedience to His commandments and also commends the “doers” of the law:

“Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.’…Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…’” Matthew 7: 22-24.

Notice that those who claim to follow Jesus but work “iniquity” are denied entrance into His kingdom. The koine Greek word used for “iniquity” in Matthew 7:23 is “anomia,” which translated means the condition of without law. This means that transgression of God’s law through disobedience is just as valid in the New Testament as in the Old. The definition of sin is clearly outlined in the first book of John:

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law” 1 John 3:4.

The popular argument within Christendom that the Ten Commandments were done away with at the cross is easily discarded through close examination. Here are New Testament references upholding God’s law, several of them after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” Matthew 5:17.

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail” Luke 16: 16–17.

“And we are His witnesses of these things, and so is also is the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey Him” Acts 5:32.

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law” Romans 3:31.

“Circumcision is nothing and, uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God” 1 Corinthians 7:19.

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all” James 2:10.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and his commandments are not grievous” 1 John 5:3.

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Revelation 12:17.

Why does Heralds of the Loud Cry only use the King James version of the Bible?

In the 4th century A.D., emperor Constantine ended persecution of Christians by uniting paganism with Christianity and thereafter made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. In order to bring Christians and pagans together under the same roof, the Bible would have to be altered so both pagans and Christians could comfortably assimilate themselves into the new syncretistic (blended) religion that emperor Constantine created. In 331 A.D. Constantine ordered the creation of a new Bible, historically titled Fifty Bibles of Constantine to be used by Christian churches in Constantinople. This altered rendition of Bible manuscripts elevated Mary, the mother of Jesus to the level of goddess while also undermining the divinity of Jesus Christ. The Constantine Bible became part and parcel of the Roman Catholic Church springing forth out of the reign of Constantine and was called the Latin Vulgate thereafter. It was during the Protestant Reformation that the reformers came across original koine Greek Bible manuscripts. Erasmus of Rotterdam translated the original koine Greek New Testament manuscripts into Latin and then placed his work, titled Novim Instrumentum alongside the New Testament of the Latin Vulgate Bible. The Novim Instrumentum tailored by Erasmus differed greatly from the traditional Latin Vulgate used by the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church could not stop the rapid proliferation of Bibles coming out of the Protestant Reformation because of the widespread use of the printing press. A new tactic was devised. Instead of trying to prevent the circulation of Bible translations differing from the Latin Vulgate there was to be the rewriting of these new Bible translations by Jesuit trained scholars and theologians. These new Bibles would then be brought back into harmony with the traditional Latin Vulgate version stemming from Constantine the Great. Heralds of the Loud Cry uses the King James version of the Bible because it is the only English version stemming directly from the Received Text of the Protestant Reformation. It has not been tampered with by ecumenical scholars and theologians in the succeeding four hundred plus years after its production. There is much criticism of Ellen White, the woman who claimed to be God’s messenger for the Seventh Day Adventist Church. If Seventh Day Adventists claim to follow the Bible why is there so much focus on the writings of Ellen White instead of the Bible?

Attacks on Ellen White are continuous on her claim to be the Lord’s messenger and on her writings. Ellen White’s writings are not extrabiblical or replace the Bible in any way. The Spirit of Prophecy was given by God to help prepare His end time people for the second coming of Jesus Christ and part and parcel of that preparation was to have greater understanding of the Bible. God has always given precious light throughout the past 6,000 years but more light is now needed to prepare a people to stand during the mark of the beast crisis. This light includes the three angels’ messages, righteousness by faith, the Seventh Day Sabbath, state of the dead, the sanctuary doctrine, the health message, and the investigative judgment. The Spirit of Prophecy is a magnifying glass giving people a clearer understanding of the Bible. Please watch all 10 video messages as part of the First Angels’ Message category on our videos page for clarification.

There is much criticism of the health message. If we are saved by grace alone through Jesus Christ why is there so much focus on a vegan diet by Seventh Day Adventists?

The original diet for Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis was plant based:

“And God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat’” Genesis 1:29.

Only after the flood when all vegetation was destroyed did God grant Noah permission to eat flesh food:

“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things” Genesis 9:3.

Because of sin God destroyed the earth by water and allowed the human race to live on a flesh food diet. God has been attempting to bring His people back to the original vegan diet He purposed for them.

Here is an example of God’s people being sustained by manna instead of a flesh food diet:

“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live” Deuteronomy 8:3.

Daniel and his companions were pressured by king Nebuchadnezzar to eat animal food but because of their faith in God they were granted a continuous diet of only vegetables (pulse):

“Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse” Daniel 1:16.

John the Baptist who heralded the first coming of Jesus Christ in the wilderness abstained from animal meat:

“And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey” Matthew 3: 4.

The diet God gave to Adam and Eve before they fell will be the diet God gives His people after Jesus Christ comes the second time. Although there is no such thing as salvation by diet, what God’s people eat and drink at the end of time will be evidence of His sanctifying work in their hearts.

Much of Christendom has moved away from calling the Roman Catholic Church Babylon in Revelation chapter 17. If the vast majority of Christians no longer believe Roman Catholicism to be Babylon, why do Seventh Day Adventists continue preaching the Protestant reformers’ interpretation of Roman Catholicism coming out of the 16th century?

The Protestant reformers disagreed on many points of doctrine, but they were unanimous in their interpretation of “Babylon The Great…The Mother Of Harlots” outlined in Revelation chapter 17, as being the Roman Catholic Church. Much contempt was being placed upon the Catholic Church during the time of Martin Luther and John Calvin. Catholicism was losing many of its adherents and in order to fight against the Reformers’ fingering of the pope as anti-Christ, the Jesuit order was launched in the year 1540. This military order has one mission only which is to bring all power back under control of the Roman pontiff. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries two alternative prophetic interpretations of Revelation were created by the Jesuit order to take heat off the Vatican, titled Preterism and Futurism. Much of the Protestant world held fast to the reformers’ interpretation of Revelation chapter 17 until the 19th century. It was at this time the vast majority of Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, and Presbyterian churches began incorporating Preterism and Futerism into their eschatological frameworks. Those in the Preterist school of thought posit that the anti-Christ had already come in the past as Antiochus Epiphanes IV, a Greek king of the Seleucid Empire from 175-164 B.C. Those in the futurist camp, known now as Dispensationalists, believe that the anti-Christ will come in the future. Because of the counter-reformation and ecumenical strides by the Jesuits, 99% of Protestants today no longer deem Roman Catholicism as being the anti-Christ power. As part of the Loud Cry message outlined in Revelation chapter 18 God will give unmistakable evidence that since its inception, the Roman Catholic Church system has always been Babylon The Great…The Mother Of Harlots outlined in Revelation chapter 17. How can the Sabbath be on Saturday, the seventh day of the week, if most Christians worship on Sunday, the first day of the week?

Scriptural evidence is lacking in support of Sunday being the Lord’s Day. The early Christian church kept Sabbath on the seventh day of the week until the 4th century A.D. during the reign of Constantine the Great. Emperor Constantine united paganism with Christianity in an effort to end persecution of Christians and make Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. This led to a problem on how to deal with a specific day of worship for Constantine’s new syncretistic (blended) religion. Christians were worshipping on Saturday, the seventh day of the week, while pagan Rome honored Sunday, the first day of the week. To ensure both pagans and Christians could worship together on the same day, Constantine in 321 A.D. decreed that Dies Solis, the day of the sun would be the day of rest and worship for the Roman Empire. The emperor had to pacify Christians by uplifting Sunday as the day of Christ’s resurrection. Christians then began worshipping on Sunday. The Catholic Church adopted Sunday worship during the reign of Emperor Constantine in the 4th century A.D. and from that time up until now its magisterium, claiming to be above the Bible, has lauded Sunday as the mark of its ecclesiastical authority while also acknowledging the true Sabbath of the Lord to be the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Please refer to the following video messages on our videos page for clarification within God’s Word that Sunday is not the Lord’s Day as many loving Christians assert:

First Angel’s Message category: “What Is The Sabbath?”

Second Angel’s Message category: “Sunday Sacredness”

Third Angel’s Message category: “What Is The Mark Of The Beast? - Part 5

‍ ‍

Much of the world believes the mark of the beast to be a computer chip, CBDC, or digital ID. If the mark of the beast is Sunday worship by law why are there so many conflicting interpretations?

The reason for so much confusion regarding the mark of the beast is an incorrect understanding of what the word “beast” actually means. God clearly defines a “beast” in Bible prophecy to be a king or kingdom within Daniel chapter seven. Creating interpretations of what a “beast” is apart from the definition contained within God’s Word has caused much people to believe that the soon coming worldwide digital dollar surveillance system is the mark of the beast. God tells us in Revelation 13:17 there will in fact be a cashless society: “…and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Much of Christendom believes individuals who refuse to worship the anti-Christ will no longer be able to buy or sell. But Satan, the master of reversal has successfully pulled the wool over the majority of peoples’ eyes regarding the mark of the beast as it relates to Bible prophecy. The “mark” of the beast is not the soon coming digital ID system. This system will be used to coerce people into worshipping on Sunday after Sunday worship is enforced by law, i.e., the mark of the beast. For clarification please watch the five part video message series within the What Is The Mark Of The Beast? category on our videos page.

Right now Sunday worship by law is yet to be enforced in America before going worldwide. Does this mean that no Sunday keeping Christians at this time have the mark of the beast?

Correct. After Sunday worship is enforced by the world’s civil powers beginning in the United States, the loud cry message will go forth to the entire world. Individuals who later reject the light God gives them coming from the third angel’s message will receive the mark of the beast. To clarify here is a quotation from the spirit of prophecy:

“No one has yet received the mark of the beast. The testing time has not yet come. There are true Christians in every church, not excepting the Roman Catholic communion. None are condemned until they have had the light and have seen the obligation of the fourth commandment. But when the decree shall go forth enforcing the counterfeit sabbath, and the loud cry of the third angel shall warn men against the worship of the beast and his image, the line will be clearly drawn between the false and the true. Then those who still continue in transgression will receive the mark of the beast…When Sunday observance shall be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of God, to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will thereby honor popery above God. He is paying homage to Rome, and to the power which enforces the institution ordained by Rome. He is worshiping the beast and his image. As men then reject the institution which God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept the sign of allegiance to Rome,—’the mark of the beast.’ And it is not until the issue is thus plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive ‘the mark of the beast.’” (Ev 233.4-234.2)

If the mark of the beast crisis occurs before the second coming of Jesus Christ, why does the majority of Christendom believe in the secret rapture, the seven year tribulation period, and the anti-Christ rebuilding the third temple in Jerusalem?

Those in the futurist camp, known now as Dispensationalists believe the anti-Christ will come in the future within the seven year tribulation period, take part rebuilding the third temple in Jerusalem, and persecute people converting to Christianity after the secret rapture. Within the dispensationalist framework there is removal of, and placing in the future, the final seven year portion of the four hundred and ninety year prophecy contained within Daniel chapter nine. Placing the final seven years of this prophecy into the future has no basis in Scripture. The final seven years of the four hundred and ninety year prophecy took place from 27 A.D. to 34 A.D. Jesus was anointed as the Messiah in 27 A.D. He brought an end to sacrifice and offering, i.e., the ceremonial law in 31 A.D. when he died on the cross. In 34 A.D. probation for the Jewish nation closed. The majority of Catholics and Protestants today believe Jesus Christ came with the human nature Adam had before he fell. Traditional Seventh Day Adventist teaching on this subject posits that Jesus Christ came with the human nature Adam had after he fell, which would be the same sinful nature all human beings are born with. If Jesus Christ did in fact come with the same sinful nature we have, wouldn't this mean that Jesus Christ was a sinner in need of a savior the same as us?

The definition of sin is clearly outlined in the first book of John:

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law” 1 John 3:4.

Many loving Catholics and Protestants define sin as being the sinful nature we are all born with. This would mean, then, that we are all guilty before God because of the faulty equipment we are given instead of what happens when our faulty equipment is used. Saint Augustine of Hippo’s doctrine of original sin found its way into the Catholic Church over fifteen hundred years ago. Augustine asserted that all human beings born into this world are charged with the guilt of Adam’s sin. During the First Vatican Council, Pope Pius IX created the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception, claiming Mary was free from all taint of original sin when Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. This would mean Jesus was not born with the same sinful nature all human beings have inherited after the fall. The teaching that Jesus did not come all the way down to meet people in their fallen condition is the teaching of the anti-Christ contained within 1 John 4:3 and 2 John 7. Please watch the following video messages on our videos page to get full clarification on the difference between sin and a sinful nature.
